Education

Harlem is home to some of the earliest and world-renowned educational institutions. Harlem is also fortunate to be the home of some of the greatest educators and many still live here today. Our Harlem Education Lesson Plans will teach students about the origins Columbia University, Manhattan School of Music, City College of New York, and P.S. 43 the first free school. We also pay homage to Harlem’s great educators like John Henry Clarke, Dr. Ben, James Weldon Johnson, Dorothy Height, and Hallie Queen Brown to just name a few.

The educational roots that stem from Harlem are deep and strong and influential. Students will learn about the people

Harlem Roots e-learning offers reading comprehension lessons that focus on non-fiction Harlem themes, which include substantive historical data about people, places, and events dating from 1658 through the present. Serving grade levels K-12, our lessons are excellent for homeschooling, higher education, and adult education classes. They are designed for group and individual applications and are also for e-learning and virtual classroom workloads as well.
